Online Marketer JourneyEd.com Adds CampusTech.com to its Academic eStore NetworkJourney Education Network of eStores Climbs to Over 15,000 Individual Stores April 2, 2008 Online education marketer and reseller Digital River Education Services, Inc., (JourneyEd, www.JourneyEd.com) announced that CampusTech.com, which sells technology products to college students, has joined its extensive eStore network. JourneyEd is now responsible for the hosting, operation, maintenance, merchandising, marketing and managing of the CampusTech eStore as well as its affiliates. CampusTech.com is the latest addition to JourneyEd's Academic eStore Network (AEN), which includes over 15,000 eStores managed and operated by JourneyEd. The CampusTech eStore, owned by CampusU, Inc., sells technology products primarily to college students, and mostly at academic discount prices of up to 85 percent off suggested retail prices. The discounts are made available by manufacturers on the condition that the sale be to students and other qualified purchasers in the academic community. These programs are open only to a limited number of companies and offer a significant pricing advantage. "We made the decision to join JourneyEd's Academic eStore Network because of JourneyEd's expertise and market-leading position in this space," said Bobby Frank, CEO of CampusU, Inc. "Its marketing capabilities and ability to operate a best-in-class e-commerce site for us while at the same time ensuring that only qualified academic buyers can purchase was extremely important to us." The acquisition will not affect either company's customers. Ultimately, customers will benefit from a larger product selection, improved customer service, and new programs that weren't available to them before. In JourneyEd's never-ending quest, over time it will find ways to improve the customer service and shopping experience with JourneyEd.com. The company will also use its cutting edge technology to power and give the back-engine of CCV's website a major upgrade, which will improve customers' shopping experience. From a people standpoint, JourneyEd will make available its entire Dallas team to help support CCV. "Technology companies targeting higher-education and K-12 students continue to choose JourneyEd as an e-commerce partner because of the depth and breadth of our best-in-class e-commerce system, industry experience, and verification capabilities," said Mike Fischler, JourneyEd CEO. "We are pleased to be working with CampusU. CampusTech.com is one of the fastest growing e-commerce stores focusing on the student marketplace. With JourneyEd handling operations, CampusTech will be on track to continue experiencing an extremely high growth rate. We also intend to delight its customers with improved customer service." As a result of partnering with JourneyEd, CampusTech will now be able to offer Student Licensing programs like Microsoft Student Select and Adobe Student CLP.
