Musings from Mike
Happy New Year! And what a year it was. JourneyEd just concluded its best year ever in company history. We have a lot of people to thank for this overwhelming performance. Our customers. Our vendor, chain and bookstore partners. The JourneyEd team.
2007 started strongly and never let up. All channels clicked for us. Just like the New England Patriots (at least so far), JourneyEd had a perfect year. Thanks in part to new releases by Adobe and Microsoft, JourneyEd grew 37.5 percent over last year, attaining record sales and profitability for the company.
Our positive relationships with software publishers, our market-leading network of established academic eStores (now over 15,000), supplier connectivity, multiple channels that we have built, along with profitable verticals where we have established a leadership position, all contributed to us exceeding our forecasts for FY07.
But we're not done yet. The current year 2008 looks to be just as promising. If we execute on our plan as well as we did in FY07, we will once again attain the growth levels, profitability and market-share that we are striving for. By attaining our goals, we can continue to offer the best customer service and buying experience that is possible for our customers.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great year and to the year ahead.
