Online Marketer JourneyEd.com Adds CampusTech.com to its Academic eStore Network

Online education marketer and reseller Journey Education Marketing, Inc., (JourneyEd, www.JourneyEd.com) announced that CampusTech.com, which sells technology products to college students, has joined its extensive eStore network. JourneyEd is now responsible for the hosting, operation, maintenance, merchandising, marketing and managing of the CampusTech eStore as well as its affiliates. JourneyEd Partners with Microsoft to Inspire Success and Make a Difference

Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates unveiled on February 18, 2008, a software giveaway that will ultimately provide millions of college students around the world with access to the latest Microsoft developer and designer tools at no charge to unlock their creative potential and set them on the path to academic and career success.

The Microsoft DreamSpark student program makes available, at no charge, a broad range of development and design software for download. The program is now available to more than 35 million college students in Belgium, China, Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S. Broad global coverage, potentially reaching up to 1 billion students worldwide, will continue throughout the next year.  Read more»

JourneyEd Hosts Microsoft Viral Marketing Program for Teachers

JourneyEd is serving as the host for the Microsoft Tools for School program, designed to increase awareness and adoption of Microsoft products among teachers and, in turn, used in the classroom.

The Tools for School campaign showcases four Microsoft products for the classroom: Learning Essentials, Microsoft Student 2008 Microsoft Office OneNote and Microsoft Office 2007.  Read more»

Hard to believe, but the calendar year (and our fiscal) 2008 is almost half way over. I am pleased to report that our record breaking FY07 has continued even stronger into this year. Already this year, we have surpassed many milestones and have blown-away our aggressive forecasts.

As reported in our last 60-Second Journey, we acquired K-12 academic reseller CCV Software in early February. With the acquisition of CCV, we were able to extend our customer reach from Kindergarten to Higher Ed. Our total available market (TAM) has gone from 17 million post-secondary students, to now, approximately 70 million students, staff and educators. The acquisition has gone very smoothly both for us and CCV’s large customer base. We have already converted their website so it could join our JourneyEd Academic eStore Network (AEN). The website was modified so it could handle K12 B2B (school) customers as well as personal shoppers.

Our most recent addition to our AEN is the very popular CampusTech.com ecommerce site (read full story in this 60SJ). We recently remodeled this store but our job is not done. Over the next few months you will see CampusTech transform into a very exciting (hip/cool) ecommerce/destination spot for students.

Over the next few weeks we will be getting ready for "rush." New technology investments that we have made will make it possible for us to handle our growth while providing the very best customer service. I want to thank all of our partners who continue to support us, help us grow, and most importantly allow us to provide a premium on customer service. With your help we will have the very best back-to-school season (for you and us).
