People Putty is a tool (as well as a toy) that allows you to make your very own interactive 3D character. You can then use it to play dress up or act as a tour guide for your own web page. You will find characters made with People Putty are just a little different than the hundreds of computer game-type characters you've seen before: they'll continue to act and react when you've walked away from the computer screen.
Create your own character or load an image from you digital camera, scanner or hard drive. With Skin you can add some wrinkles, hair, change teeth, eye's, as well as add tattoos or wounds. Apply eyeshadow, blush, lipstick and other makeup to make your character look pretty. With Shapes, you can mold your character like putty or choose from many shapes that has been made for you. Give your character Emotions like nodding or winking. With a slider you can give your character a range of emotions from broken hearted to raging mad. You can even record messages and greetings. Add earrings, glasses and other Accessories. The Action (or Theatre) section is where everthing comes together. Record your own voice (or use sound clips) and watch as your character instantly lip syncs your words. Send your character moving across the screen, changing shape and expression as it goes. Alter the background or change the lighting.
People Putty also lets you place any character you build on a website of your own, where it will happily live out its days talking to and interacting with anyone who visits your page.
